Hi there, me VK, came here again, to let you know about the very first match of Spartans Cricket team. As you all already know that we were very excited for our first match and lots of questions in our mind. We ware excited, we ware happy, we were joyful, we were nervous, we all were felt anxiety. So many things were in our mind.
We were thinking that we have to play all 20 overs and able to make 100-120 runs in any circumstances to stay in the match and to save our respect too.
I woke up at 4:30 AM 15 July 2018 and started calling all teammates. Somehow we able to manage to leave our home at 6:30 AM and we are off to the Ground.
Playing 11 Spartans:- Banshal Sharma (C), Santosh Pal, Shyam B Yadav, Jerry, Kundan Yadav, Gopal Yadav (VC), Vinod Soni, Pradeep Gaur, G Shyam Yadav, Vinod Kumar (wk), Vikash Kumar.
As we reached ground we have met with the opponent team. We had a discussion about whether and pitch. They have a good pitch covered with the mat. Good for bounce and pace. We have won the toss and chose to bat first as we decided first.
Spartans Opening batsmen went to the crease and we all set for the game. Now it's the moment in which we are waiting for a while. Banshal Sharma on strike and Santosh pal was on not strike. And the very first ball which I can never forget, you also won't believe what happened on the very first ball on our very first match. Think the all possible results for the very first ball. Someone will defend, someone will drive, Few also can leave, but we are Spartans, we are the team with hot red blood, we are who can make anything possible, we are the team which is made to rock.
Please don't angry at me, I am breaking the suspense now. Banshal Sharma smashed a huge six on the long on the very very first ball of our very very first match. The opponent was scared, and our team was enjoyed the grand opening. Every one shouting, hooting and very happy. Our anxiety was gone so far, we felt confident, the fear ran away. Somehow we able to make history for our team.
You think is there any best start for any team. I told Santosh at the non-striker end "Bhai 6 over me 30 hi marne ki hi bat hui thi na"? You are wondering how I can be there, Bro hold your horses I were empire over there. LOL. And the match continued. First over we were able to make 14 runs. Santosh and Banshal hitting fours and sixes everywhere in the ground. In four overs we were able to manage 50 for our team without loss of any wickets. But the in the fifth over our both opening batsmen has come back to the pavilion. Before they left the pitch Banshal was on 40-Runs, 20-Ball, 3-Fours, and 2-Sixes Ans Santosh Pal was left at 26-Runs, 15-Ball, 4-Fours, and 1-six.
And this is the time for our middle order batsmen, they are playing well and managing the average. At the 12 overs, we were on 102 and lose of 4 wickets. But around 0900 hours in the morning suddenly we faced heavy rain and the rain spoiled our match. The rain was so heavy as we unable to continue the contest and match canceled due to rain.
We felt sad for few moments but I already told you we are Spartans and anyone cant match our thinking. we started enjoying the rain. We came back home and gossiped about our game and start. And started planning for the next match.
I personally salute The Banshal Sharma for giving us the best start.

We are discussing to how we will play and we also had the discussion about our strategy. As we were playing our very first match we were little nervous that how the opponent will respond as they know about the same. We decided our batting order and Santosh and Banshal were the Opening batsmen. About the batting strategy, we decided that the opening batsmen need to play at least six overs of powerplay and will score a minimum 30 runs. In opposite circumstances, we can afford to lose one wicket in first six overs but not more than that.We were thinking that we have to play all 20 overs and able to make 100-120 runs in any circumstances to stay in the match and to save our respect too.
