The seed of team Generations - The Born Of Spartans Cricket Team

I and Gopal use to discuss to build a team to play cricket. We use to think that we are playing cricket since childhood with the tennis ball and we need to upgrade our self. But earlier we were not serious about the same. We just talk about making team to hangout and the conversations always went to the next level of imaginations. But some were in deep in our minds a thought to play cricket with a proper cricket team becoming stronger day by day.

The first seed

I always use to think about our team name, dress patterns – colors and teammates. But I cannot deny this fact that the first seed which causes the birth the Spartans was the Santosh’s gift to Gopal on his birthday. On 17th may 2018 was Gopal’s birthday. Santosh gifted a Tennis ball Cricket bat to Gopal. After getting a bat as a gift we were discussing that what we do with the bat because we were not playing cricket for months. Then Shyam Jija suggested that why not buy a ball and start playing in morning. And all agreed for the same. Then the conversation took a serious turn and we decided to play cricket in the morning from 5 to 7 on daily.

In the evening I set 3 alarms in my Honor 6x (4:30, 4:35, and 4:38) and went to sleep with the dreams about playing cricket. In the morning as the first alarm rings I wake-up and fresh and up. I called each and every player from the washroom. After so many tries all members were waking up. Finally, we were going to play. And then we started going on the regular basis. It became my task to call each and every player and sometimes drag from the bad also.

In our team, we are me Vikash Kumar, Pradeep, Shyam Yadav, Gopal Yadav, Vivek Rajput, Vishal Bhagat, Vinod Kumar, Akhilesh, Deepak Sharma, Sandeep Gaur and few more players are there.

The final decision.

The discussion about the team formation for Lather Bat and ball was still there in our conversations and hangout sessions. One fine day Star Cricket Club was facing the shortage of players so one of their team members (Banshal Sharma) asked Gopal’s and Santosh’s availability and they confirmed. I came to know about the same later in the evening. I walk to Banshal and asked if he can include me also in the team or just take me to the ground, and he agreed.

On next day, Sunday 24th June 2018 I, Santosh and Gopal went to play with the star club. And luckily I was also in Playing 11. While playing we did some silly things, but the Santosh’s performance was great. He took 5 catches in a row. An energy we were feeling was awesome, I haven’t felt this type of energy while playing with a tennis ball. As the match lasts we were happy because we have won the match.

In the middle of a conversation, Banshal asked to Gopal “Gopal Hum Bhi Team banaye” and Gopal answered “Bhai team ban gayi”. We came home and in the evening we started talking about the team formation. “But this time it was not for fun, it was not for gossip, it was not for time pass, all are very serious and we have decided to form a team and we have a few names in our mind to include in the team”.

How We get a super Name for our Team.

Gopal created a WhatsApp Group to discuss the team with the name of “The Dream 11 Squad”. In the group Gopal, Me, Banshal Sharma, Shyam Yadav, Pradeep Gaur, Santosh Pal, Baldau, Shyam Yadav (ii), Vinod Kumar and Vivek Rajput are there. Later on, we have added Kundan Yadav, and Vinod Soni also in WhatsApp group. One fine day we were discussing about the name of the team in the group and all have suggested few good names for the same. I was about to type my suggestion but Gopal typed something and his text was brought me to the next level of joy. He suggested Spartans for the team name which I was also going to type. We agreed and stick with this name.
